How to Port Forward
This article explains in detail how to port forward with Port Forwarding Wizard. Basically, what you need to do are just two steps. Then the software will auto port forwarding for you.

Step 1. Add Port Forwarding
The first step of using Port Forwarding Wizard is add a port forwarding entry by click "Add" button on the main gui of the program.
Click Add button to add a port forwarding entry, then you will see below dialog box pop up. You can input details info of your port forwarding here.
Name: The name of your port forwarding entry. You can just input any meaningful name here.
Type: You can select the port forwarding type to be TCP or UDP. Then the port forwarding will forward tcp or udp protocol for you.
SSL Encryption: This is the feature of Pro or Enterprise version has. You can do ssl port forwarding with this feature.
Run as a http proxy: You can make the program run like as a http proxy. Then the port forwarding entry will forward http protocol. Other of your computer can surf internet by using this http port forwarding function.
Listen Port: The software will listen on the port you input for this port forwarding. All incoming access should access this port. Then all of incoming network traffic will go into this port, then the program will forward all of those data to your destination.
single-range radio button: You can input a single listen port, then the forwarding entry will just listen on this one single port. If you select range radio button, then you can input a range of listen port, then the forwarding entry will listen on a range of port.
Bind Address: You can bind your network interface for the listen port of the port forwarding.
Destination: Normally, you should input your local ip address here. Then all of incoming network traffic data will be forwarded to this destination.
Smart Route: This is the feature of Enterprise version. You can get smart port forwarding strategy here. You can select "based on incoming ip address", "Round robin" or "Based on content" strategy.
Destination Port: The port that your local service will listen on your local computer.
Maximum Sessions: means the max connections of Port Forwarding Wizard will handle.
If you click Advanced button, you will see below dialog:
If you select the checkbox "Enable Log for Protocol Debug", Port Forwarding Wizard will log protocol data that go through it into a log file. This is a great helper to debug or learn network protocol. Utility tool is a tool that can let you resolve a web site domain to an ip address. "Enable IP Strategy" is a option that check or don't check ip address that accessing Port Forwarding Wizard. If you select this checkbox, you can add allow ip address ranges and block ip address ranges to define what ip address can access Port Forwarding Wizard.
Step 2. Start Port Forwarding
Select a port forwarding and then click start button to start the forwarding, then the software will auto port forwarding as you wish.
Status is "running" means this port forwarding have already started and Sessions means the count of connections that the port forwarding have already forwarded.
Above steps are basic steps that how to port forward without router. This will let you port forward from one computer to another computer.
This is a menu of Port Forwarding Wizard:
You can manage your router's nat port forwarding and port trigger by click "Router" menu and "Port Forwarding Management" or "Port Trigger Management" sub-menu. This is the step how to port forward with your router.
You can view, add or delete your router's nat port mapping here. You can click "test" button to check if your router has already opened the port you want.
Also, you can click "Port Forwarding Tester" sub-menu to check other ip and port to see if the port is opened by target ip.
If you click "Option" menu, you will see the dialog:
If you choose option of "Automatically startup when computer power on", Port Forwarding Wizard will auto run when you log on your computer.
If you choose option of "Monitor port forwarding setting of router", then if nat port forwarding setting of your router has been changed, it will notify you like this:
If you choose option of "Use http proxy setting of IE to surf internet", then Port Forwarding Wizard will access upstream http proxy to surf internet. If you don't choose this option, Port Forwarding Wizard will access internet directly.
At the same time, you can monitor which ip have connected with Port Forwarding Wizard by click menu of "Port Forwarding Wizard Monitor". You can view and search often used ports by a lot of applications by click menu of "View Often Used Ports". You can enable or disable the option of "Auto Startup when computer power on" by click menu of "Option".
You can click "View IP" menu to see your computer's local ip address and external ip address.
A great function is that Port Forwarding Wizard will flash try icon to let you know that network data are travelling through it.
